Bamboo Pith with Chicken in Abalone Sauce
Ingredients
Ingredients :
  • 90 g Chicken meat [cut into 12 long strips]
  • 50 g Carrot (s) [cut into 12 long strips]
  • 50 g Dried Bamboo Pith [12 nos]
  • Green onion(s) [shredded, for garnish]
Marinade :
  • 1 tsp Royal Abalone Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Pure Sesame Oil
  • 1/2 tsp Corn starch
Sauce Mix :
  • 2 tbsp Fragrant Abalone Sauce
  • 1 tsp Selected Light Soy Sauce
  • 125 ml Water
  • 2 tsp Corn starch
Preparation :
  1. Mix chicken with marinade.
  2. Soak well bamboo pith and trim into 5 cm sections.  Set aside.
  3. Stuff bamboo pith with chicken and carrot.  Arrange on a serving plate.  Steam for 10 minutes until done.  Pour away excess liquid.
  4. Heat through sauce mix and pour over bamboo pith.  Garnish with shredded green onion.
